1. TERMS OF MEMBERSHIP


Membership Applications
1.1 OMACI (IIOM) welcomes applications from people who have an interest in Obsolescence Management and who are aged 18 years or over.
1.2 There are six categories of member:

1.3. Submitting a membership application for a specific category does not guarantee membership of this category. OMACI (IIOM) will assess applications for Associates, Members and Fellows.
1.4. OMACI (IIOM) reserves the right to refuse any application for membership.

Code of Ethics and Rules of Conduct
1.5. All members undertake to abide by the members handbook.

Corporate
1.6. Corporate membership is open to any organisation involved with Obsolescence Management.

Honorary Fellows
1.7. Honorary Fellows are elected by the OMACI (IIOM) Board. Honorary Fellows are:
Persons distinguished by their work in any discipline falling within the objects and purposes of OMACI (IIOM), or Distinguished persons who contributed to OMACI (IIOM) in honour for services rendered or whose association is of benefit.

Fellows
1.8. Fellows will meet the requirements for admission as a Member and in addition they will have demonstrated significant individual responsibility, sustained achievement and professionalism in areas relevant to the interests of OMACI (IIOM) to a level as set out in the training programme. Fellows are entitled to use the designatory letters OMACI (IIOM) (Fellow of the International Institute of Obsolescence Management).

Members
1.9. Members will achieve a standard of knowledge, understanding and experience, and passed the OMACI (IIOM) Diploma as set out in the training programme. Members shall be entitled to use the designatory letters OMACI (IIOM) (Member of the International Institute of Obsolescence Management

Associates
1.10. Associates will have achieved a standard of knowledge, understanding and experience, and passed the IIOM certificate, as set out in the training programme.

Affiliates
1.11. Affiliate is the entry level membership and there are no entry requirements.

Students
1.12. Student membership is for individuals working towards a career in Obsolescence management whether at university or on an apprenticeship scheme.

Membership transfers
1.13. A member may transfer from their membership category at any time during their membership as long as they meet the criteria of the membership category applied for.

Membership subscription
1.14. Membership subscriptions run for a period of one year.
1.15. Membership fees are revised annually and members will be notified of the fee changes by email via their subscription renewal notice. The membership fees are also published on the OMACI (IIOM) website.

Membership resignation
1.16. Persons in any category of membership may resign by sending their resignation in writing to the secretariat.
1.17 subscriptions are non refundable.

Complaints Procedure
1.18. OMACI (IIOM) undertakes to serve its members effectively and fairly and member feedback is important. In the event of a complaint or grievance then members are advised to call the IIOM secretariat or a member of the board. Contact details are found on the IIOM Website.
1.19. Where possible the issue will be dealt with immediately. If further investigation is required then a response will be provided within five working days. If it is not possible to resolve the problem within that time, advice will be given on how long the investigations are likely to take.
1.20. OMACI (IIOM) reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time.

2. MEMBERSHIP TERMINATION


Membership of International Institute of Obsolescence Management will cease if:

2.1 A member gives notice in writing before the annual renewal date that they wish to resign their membership.
2.2 A member’s conduct brings OMACI (IIOM) into disrepute and the board deems they should be removed from membership. They will not be able to describe themselves as a member or be refunded any subscriptions.
2.3 A member’s subscription remains outstanding 3 months after renewal.
2.4 Any perceived inappropriate Advertising from any individual, company or organisation seen to be against the interests of the Members is not allowed and could be reason for termination of membership.

3. PURCHASES


3.1 Only fully paid up Members are entitled to discounted conference and training course rates, where applicable.
3.2 OMACI (IIOM) website users may purchase memberships, booklets and book conferences.
3.3 GST is chargeable at the prevailing rate.
3.4 All purchases are non-refundable.
3.5 Delivery is immediate upon payment. Paid members will be able to access their benefits through the website instantly.
3.6 We do not store credit card details nor do we share customer details with any 3rd parties.

4. GENERAL TERMS
